Holland Hill Reads (HH Reads):

PTA funds the opportunity for every student at Holland Hill to receive the same book and read it together. It’s by the school and ties in key messages of themes that match the school’s work for  “No Place for Hate”

Talent Show (Feb 28th) A celebration of student creativity, featuring performances from singers, dancers, musicians, and more. Students rehearse in advance to prepare acts up to two minutes long, and all grade levels are encouraged to participate. Parent volunteers are needed to help make the event a success. It’s a fun, community-focused way to showcase Holland Hill  talent!

International Night (Nov 21st): Celebrate our global community with food and music. Travel the world without leaving Holland Hill! Families share their culture through food, music, clothing, or special items, and everyone is invited to sample, learn, and connect. This beloved annual tradition celebrates our school’s diversity—sign up to represent a country and make the night unforgettable!

International Week (Nov 17th - 21st): Celebrate the rich cultures of our Holland Hill community all week long! Students create heritage squares, enjoy music in different languages, participate in a school-wide flag vote, and show off their traditions through clothing or jerseys. The week builds up to International Night, where 30+ countries come together for fun, food, and community connection.

Don’t toss your pumpkins — compost them! Our Green Team is hosting a pumpkin composting dumpster in the Holland Hill parking lot for easy, eco-friendly drop-off.

Art in the classroom: Introduces students to art history, exploring famous artists, movements, and cultural traditions from around the world. It helps kids connect creativity with history, learn to appreciate different styles, and see how art reflects society and ideas across time.

PTA Reflections Art Contest (Independent Home Project): The National PTA Reflections program encourages students to explore their creativity and express themselves through dance, music, photography, literature, visual arts, or film. Students reflect on meaningful ideas and share their unique perspective with the community.

Theme: I Belong

STEAM NIGHT (Date TBD)  A hands-on science, technology, engineering, art, and math activities for students and an accompanying adult. Kids can explore circuits, coding, flying and rolling vehicles, and many more creative challenges.

Veterans Day Celebration (Nov 7th): Each year we welcome local Veterans to a special Town Meeting. Students and staff recognize their service, leadership, and dedication, contribute to the HH Wall of Honor, and celebrate the values of respect and community they embody.
